Het Wilhelmus - Wilhelm von Nassau

Als die Niederlande 1815 zum Königreich wurden, wurde dieses Stück nicht als Nationalhymne gewählt, weil es zu stark mit der Partei verknüpft war, die das Haus von Oranien-Nassau unterstützte. Vielmehr wurde aufgrund eines Wettbewerbs Wien Neêrlands Bloed zur Nationalhymne bestimmt. Die Popularität von Het Wilhelmus schwand aber nie, und am 10. Mai 1932 wurde es schließlich zur Nationalhymne erhoben. (wiki)
